How again will the diamond shine?
In a luster others merely mime?
Or like a boding, foreign gleam
Upon the pages of untouched reams?
Perhaps a twinkling, brilliant shimmer
Like ticking sands that bury time?
Or maybe flames where others wither
Whose dirges are not worth a dime?
Eclipsed, I fear, is the returning dawn;
Eclipsed is the moon by the burning sun.
Again, I ask, you Crazy Diamond,
How again will you shine on?

  1. Forgot to title this.
    This is called "Barrett" and is dedicated to the memory of Pink Floyd's late lead singer, Syd Barrett.
